Overview

Terra originally secured an Option Agreement / to purchase this 72 acre Green Belt site in 2015.

Terra were then invited to purchase the site unconditionally from the land owner and went on to complete on the purchase in 2018.

After significant representations, surveys and modelling work the site was later draft Allocated for up to 380 units via Main Modifications to the proposed local plan.

Further work has been submitted to the Council and the wording has now been amended to “at least” 380 units.

The plan, as endorsed by the Inspector, has now been formally approved by Full Council and Cabinet in summer 2019 and has been formally adopted.

There is currently a pending planning application for the initial phase of approximately 200 dwellings alongside initial infrastructure delivering extensive public open space, a new Sustrans link, landscaping, habitat enhancement, allotments and an orchard, and circa 2000 sqft community building with dedicated parking. Terra continue to work with the council officers to ensure this much needed allocated site is brought forward for development.
