The site was located to the south side of the Faringdon Road, the main road running through the village of Southmoor, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire and comprised of the former Fallowfields Hotel, associated car parking, gardens and outbuildings.

The site extended to approximately 2.7 acres in total and was not in the Green Belt or any local conservation areas. The local Planning Authority was Vale of White Horse District Council.

A Pre-Application meeting was held with the Planning Department and a Planning Application was submitted in the Autumn 2017. A Planning Approval was secured in Winter 2018 for 31 units.

The site was sold to Hayfield to enable them to continue with their development of 43 homes to the rear of the site.
