Overview

There is a history of flooding incidents in Woodford Halse and Hinton. The Council has acknowledged the problem and knows a solution is needed but also recognises that the only realistic way of funding a flood alleviation scheme is through developer funding. 

WHAT IS PROPOSED?

• A flood alleviation scheme in the form of two large storage ponds. These ponds will intercept surface water from the stream and release it slowly at a speed that can be safely managed.

• New landscape planting and open space.

• 50 dwellings – a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed properties.

• An on-site play area.
